During the month of November 2018, we’ve been enjoying awesome free games through PlayStation Plus like Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition and Yakuza Kiwami. We’ve also had a chance to play Roundabout, Burly Men at Sea, Akedo Series and Jackbox Party Pack 2. But we’re coming up fast on next month. What PS Plus free games for December can we look forward to? Here are our free Playstation Plus December 2018 predictions.
1. Resident Evil 7: Biohazard
Our first prediction for December’s free games list is Resident Evil 7. There is a precedent since Resident Evil was featured for free in 2016. The Resident Evil 2 Remake is due out on all major platforms in January, so this seems like a great time to revisit the series.
2. Ace Combat: Assault Horizon
Another title dropping in January 2019 is Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown. This game is going to be available on all Xbox One, PS4 and PSVR (unlike Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation, which only released on Xbox 360). Because Ace Combat 6 would not be an option, we think that Sony may feature Ace Combat: Assault Horizon to boost the hype. This 2011 game came out on Xbox 360, Windows PC and PS3.
3. Dragon Age: Inquisition
Without a lot of upcoming releases announced for January, we’re turning to February for other possibilities. In February, BioWare is coming out with Anthem, which is going to be a huge deal. So perhaps another BioWare title might show up for free next month (or even in January). One possibility would be Dragon Age: Inquisition. It’s been four years since it came out, but it was a strong title that could help ignite fans’ excitement for more BioWare action.
4. Telltale’s The Walking Dead
Early in February, we have Overkill’s The Walking Dead coming out. This would be a great chance for PS Plus to raise anticipation by featuring The Walking Dead series from Telltale Games.
This would also not be the first time that Telltale has been featured through the service. In January 2018, we got to play Batman: The Telltale Series for free. In July 2017, we also got to enjoy Game of Thrones: A Telltale Game Series. So there is plenty of precedent and reason to be optimistic about this particular prediction.
5. A Rose in the Twilight
For PS Vita, our prediction for December’s free game is A Rose in the Twilight. This 2017 game released on Vita and Windows PC. It features distinctive artwork and intriguing puzzles with unusual mechanics. While this game received mixed reviews, it has flown a bit under the radar and may be worth a feature on PS Plus.
