The Kingdom Hearts 3 Critical Mode release date has been announced by Square Enix. We now know that players will be able to enjoy this brand new difficulty soon, and when we say soon, we mean it. This challenging mode for the game releases tomorrow, Tuesday, April 23, 2019 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
The Kingdom Hearts 3 Critical Mode release date announcement was given on the official Twitter account for the series. Tetsuya Nomura himself released the announcement for players. This incarnation of the popular difficulty option will be much different than what players know from before, according to Nomura.
The update will be arriving as a free update for the game on all platforms so definitely be sure to check back tomorrow here for the full patch notes. It is entirely possible that other changes and improvements will occur with the release of the free update beyond just the Kingdom Hearts 3 Critical Mode. But what is this mode all about?
Well, for those of you who don’t know, this difficulty option allows players to amp up the difficulty in a unique way. It isn’t just increasing the stats of enemies but it is designed to make you change how you play. For instance, we already know that it is meant to encourage players to utilize all aspects of Kingdom Hearts 3.
Stuff like cooking, blocking, counters, etc that you don’t necessarily need on some of the other difficulty options. In addition, we suspect that new skills will be released alongside the Kingdom Hearts 3 Critical Mode.
