Madden 19 NFL Playoffs Simulation: Colts Vs. Texans, Seahawks Vs. Cowboys Wild Card Results

On Saturday, the 2019 NFL Playoffs officially kick off with a pair of Wild Card games. Things start in the afternoon with the AFC as the Indianapolis Colts visit the Houston Texans. For the primetime showdown, it’s the Seattle Seahawks visiting the Dallas Cowboys of the NFC. These two games have fans and analysts wondering which sides will win to move on. Luckily, we have our Madden 19 NFL Playoffs simulation games to help us give potential predictions.

Madden 19 NFL Playoffs Simulation: Colts vs. Texans results

Based on our Madden playoffs simulation of the game, this one is going to be a real slugfest in Houston. Early on the Texans surge to a 14-0 lead with two touchdowns in just the first quarter. However, Luck and the Colts charge right back, scoring 21 points in the second compared to just 10 for the home team. Houston goes into halftime down 21-17.

In the third quarter, the home team comes out inspired and D’Onta Foreman takes off for a 95-yard touchdown. That incredible play gives the home team a 24-21 lead into the fourth. Early in the final quarter, the Texans add a field goal to extend the lead, but Luck and company aren’t done. He orchestrates a drive into the red zone and finds Rogers on a six-yard pass. It’s a 28-27 lead for the Colts on the road.

The home team won’t be embarrassed by the visitors in this simulation. Watson guides his team into scoring territory and hits a 10-yard pass to Kerridge, followed by a two-point conversion. Houston goes up 35-28. The Colts have Luck on their side, but unfortunately not enough luck in the final minute or so. The Texans record multiple sacks and then the Colts QB comes up with an incomplete on a fourth down, sealing his team’s fate. Texans win, 35-28!

Looking at final stats, Watson has quite a game as he goes 28-for-42 with 384 yards and two touchdowns, but is also picked off twice. Luck finishes 28-for-42 with 314 yards, two touchdowns, and no INTs, but the late sacks didn’t help. DeAndre Hopkins racks up 137 yards of receiving on 11 catches, but no touchdowns.

Foreman finishes with 105 yards and two touchdowns, while Lamar Miller has 85 yards. Marlon Mack and Wilkins each get a TD for the Colts as well but have limited yards. Obviously, the glaring stat is the 13 yards of rushing the Texans held Indianapolis to. If that really holds up in Saturday’s game, it will mean the Colts need Luck to be on top of his game!

Madden 19 NFL Playoffs Simulation: Seahawks vs. Cowboys

Texas will be rocking Saturday night as the Cowboys are also back in the playoffs. In our simulation, Russell Wilson strikes early in the first quarter. After a brief drive down the field, he hits Doug Baldwin with a 40-yard touchdown pass to put Seattle up 7-0. Dallas won’t let that hold up long, as a Dak Prescott to Cole Beasley touchdown is in the books to tie things up. Seattle gets a field goal to reclaim the lead 10-7.

Into the second quarter, the Cowboys can’t score a TD in the red zone and settle for a field goal to tie things up. However, a Chris Carson 67-yard touchdown run comes soon after, putting the visitors back ahead, 17-10. Dallas ties things up with a touchdown of their own with just over a minute left before the half. It’s 17-17 at halftime.

In the third quarter, Dak finds his favorite target from Week 17, Blake Jarwin for a touchdown pass. Dallas is up 24-17 heading to the final quarter, and scores another touchdown, putting a bit of pressure on Wilson and the Seahawks. We see Tyler Lockett score to get Seattle back within a touchdown.

Wilson works his late-game magic and things are tied at 31-31 heading to overtime. Unfortunately for the Cowboys, the Seahawks are able to win in the extra time with a field goal, 34-31, to move on to the next round.

Both teams put up over 400 yards of total offense in this scoring battle. Wilson goes 27-for-39 with 306 yards and three touchdowns, while Prescott (22-for-39) has 260 yards and four TDs. Elliott rushes for 154 yards with no touchdowns and a fumble, while Seattle’s Carson has 149 yards and a touchdown in the win.

Based on these simulation results, it could be quite an exciting first day of NFL Playoffs action!
