Madden 19 Path to the Draft Event Revealed For Ultimate Team With New Currency, Player Cards, & Solos

The 2019 NFL Draft is quickly approaching as teams will look to upgrade their rosters. Among the squads with picks in the top of the order are the Arizona Cardinals, Oakland Raiders, and San Francisco 49ers. In honor of the draft’s arrival in late April, there’s a new Madden 19 Path to the Draft event available in the Ultimate Team mode. Here’s a look at the key details in the newest MUT promotion including the new in-game currency, player cards, and more.

Madden 19 Path to the Draft: New Currency, Draft player cards

Not long ago, we had a Madden NFL Scouting Combine promotion. That involved former college football stars who excelled at their Combines ahead of the draft. On Friday’s Daily Drops via EAMaddenNFL Twitch they announced all the new details for Madden Ultimate Team’s new draft event. It’s a new part of the offseason fun known as Path to the Draft 2019. First up, there’s a new alternate currency in this promotion in the form of “Picks.” It replaces the previous currencies for promotions such as “Scouts.”

The new promotion includes different player cards such as 1st Rounders, 1st Round Heroes, and of course, a 99 Masters player card. The first group of 1st Rounders includes draft standouts such as Jameis Winston, Justin Pugh, Barkevious Mingo, and Terrell Edmunds. Check out their cards below.

In addition to those 1st Rounders, Madden Ultimate Team revealed three 1st Round Heroes player cards. They are Roquan Smith of the Chicago Bears, Adrian Peterson of the Washington Redskins, and DeAndre Hopkins of the Houston Texans. All three of these player cards are rated at 98 OVR. You’ll need them all if you want to score the first Masters card in the event.

Madden 19 Path to the Draft: Bruce Smith Masters, Solo Challenges

The first Masters player card revealed for the new Path to the Draft promotion is former Buffalo Bills defensive star, Bruce Smith. To get that card, you’ll need to collect all three of those 1st Round Heroes to trade them in. You’ll get the 99-rated Bruce Smith and all 3 heroes back as NATs. Not too shabby! Here’s a look at Smith’s new card in the MUT promotion.

In addition to all of those cool cards, they’ve also revealed the first of the new Madden 19 Path to the Draft Solos. Each Daily Challenge a gamer completes will earn coins along with a draft pick player token. There’s also a big reward for those gamers who can complete all 15 solo challenges in “1st Round Hero Highlights”. That will net you Picks currency along with 7,500 coins.

It’s a lot to digest, but also a lot to celebrate with Ultimate Team. We also expect more MUT content on the way in the coming days. It may be the NFL offseason, but Madden 19 continues to bring us some great promotions. How are you liking the new Path to the Draft event so far?
