Madden 20 Power Up Expansion: Eric Berry, Phillip Lindsay Among New Power Ups

The Madden 20 Power Up Expansion program added several more player items as of Tuesday. Among the players revealed were former Kansas City Chiefs strong safety Eric Berry and current Denver Broncos running back Phillip Lindsay. Here’s a look at how the cards work with each player in Ultimate Team.

New Power Ups revealed for Madden 20 Power Up Expansion

As of several weeks ago, EA’s Madden 20 Power Up Expansion program launched. With the program, gamers can get a player’s Power Up item and then boost it using Madden Training as well as the player’s other special cards.

Tuesday’s release brought six more players into the mix with new Power Up cards as shown below. These will allow gamers to boost the players up as high as 98 overall for their Ultimate Team. The cards below reflect the player items fully upgraded and not how you’ll first receive them.

With the cards, gamers simply spend Training to upgrade them to higher ratings. As an example, Eric Berry’s Power Up starts off at 69 overall with 74 Speed, 74 Acceleration, 66 Hit Power, 65 Play Recognition, and 63 Pursuit.

You can then spend 8 Training to move it up a level. Spend another eight to get it to Tier 2, then 11, 16, and 24 for the next levels. You can then apply Berry’s Core Elite player item to upgrade to the Tier 6 level. With other players, there may be other special cards required from Draft, NFL 100, or other programs.

You can keep leveling up all the way to 98 overall with upgraded attributes. However, it will get costly with some levels costing as much as 8,000 to 32,000 in Training.

New Power Brokers Challenges available

With the Madden 20 Power Up Expansion program there are also challenges in Ultimate Team. These are found under “Challenges” and then “Power Ups.” The latest edition is called Power Brokers. It includes a separate challenge for each of the six players mentioned above.

By completing an individual challenge you can win that player’s Power Up card. In addition, there are a total of 900 Madden Coins per challenge as part of the deal. The challenges are relatively easy too, as all of them involve starting a game in the third quarter and having to get the win.

For those who don’t play the challenges, you’ll need to spend Madden Coins to get the Power Up. You’ll also need to find a way to acquire the training to boost the card. Check out our Madden Training guide for more details on how to do that.
