With the arrival of July ultimately comes the arrival of the new Madden NFL game at the end of the month. However, gamers are still waiting for some very important details reveals. Ahead of most sports games’ releases, the EA Sports company tends to release player ratings. While most fans can guess at which players will enter Madden 20 with a rating in the high 90s, after that it gets a bit less obvious. That includes the Madden 20 rookies making their debuts.
Madden 20 rookies to be featured in ratings reactions video
On Sunday (June 30), EA’s Madden Twitter let the world know that the wait is nearly over. On Monday (July 1), they will officially show the new NFL rookies getting to see their ratings. The first-year NFL players’ reactions will be captured in a full-length video which should give some indication of how they feel about the way the numbers look. In the short video clip below, several of the Madden 20 rookies are shown as they learn what their ratings are.
The No. 1 overall pick in the NFL draft this past April was quarterback Kyler Murray for the Cardinals. Many fans are expecting the talented young player to top the rookie ratings. Other college players who were amongst the early picks included defensive end Nick Bosa for the 49ers, defensive tackle Quinnen Williams for the Jets, and linebacker Josh Allen for the Jaguars.
There was also a major surprise when the New York Giants drafted Duke QB Daniel Jones over Dwayne Haskins, with the latter sliding all the way to No. 15. It won’t be surprising if Haskins has a better rookie rating than the No. 6 pick.

Several hours later, another Madden 20 rookies video clip surfaced online via the Pittsburgh Steelers Twitter. It shows off their new rookies, receiver Diontae Johnson and running back Benny Snell. In the video, we learn we won’t just see their reactions, but the Madden 20 rookies’ ratings on July 1.
The new Madden 20 rookies video will arrive at 11 a.m. Eastern Time on Monday. It comes just as the new Madden Rookie Premier program kicks off. This program will allow gamers to collect tokens in Madden 19 Ultimate Team for a special Rookie Premier card. They’ll also be able to earn a special Rookie Premier card through the promotion for MUT 20, making it an interesting way to transition from one game to the other.
Here’s a look back at the Madden 19 rookies reacting to their ratings. It includes Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold, and other young players who will now become experienced sophomores in Madden 20.
The Madden 20 game officially arrives on August 2 for gamers everywhere. However, pre-orders for specific editions of the game give access three days earlier in late July. It seems as of the start of the month, we’ll have a good idea of which rookies will be starting the season as the best new players in their draft class.
