The Madden 20 Ultimate Team mode has unveiled a way to get a free Team Captain Token in the game. With this, gamers can upgrade their current Team Captain. However, since it’s a limited-time challenge, gamers will have to get it down by the deadline. Here’s how to earn a free Team Captain Token in Madden Ultimate Team.
How to get a Team Captain in Ultimate Team
Got a Team Captain as part of your Ultimate Team roster? If so, it’s time to get them on the field. If you don’t have one, you can head into the Welcome to Ultimate Team Missions area of the mode and select “Earn Your Team Captain.”
You achieve the Team Captain by reaching Level 11 on the game. However, most gamers are beyond that by this point in the Madden season. The available options were Herman Moore, Dallas Clark, Ryan Shazier, and Ty Law. Once you have a player, you can then upgrade them to higher ratings using Tokens and Madden Training.
How to get a free Team Captain Token in Madden 20 Ultimate Team
Generally, in Madden 20 Ultimate Team, you gain the Team Captain Tokens by making it to various experience levels or defeating certain challenges. In this new limited-time situation, you’ll be able to get the free Team Captain Token just by winning five games.
There is a requirement for this. You’ll need to have your Team Captain on the field for those five games you win. The games you win can be Challenges, H2H Seasons, Solo Battles, or MUT Champs as shown in the screenshot below.
Visit the “Missions” tab of the Ultimate Team screen in Madden and then scroll down to choose “Team Captains.” Step 1 is to make sure your Team Captain is in your lineup. Step 2 is to win those five games. That’s all there is to it!
A few smart ways to take advantage of this could be through playing the online Solos, or the new Ultimate Legends challenges. There are Ultimate Legends’ Power Up items and also collectible Ultimate Legend Tokens available. With 16 of the UL Tokens, you earn a NAT Fantasy Pack which will let you choose one Career Edition Ultimate Legends player.
Right now, the highest level in terms of ratings for the Team Captain is a 96 overall as mentioned in our Series 5 Competitive Master article. However, there will probably be some more Tokens on the way to allow gamers to upgrade to that coveted 99 OVR level.
The Earn a Team Captain Token will only be available until February 28, that still gives gamers two weeks to win those five games with the team captain on the field. Get the Token and then use it to make your Madden 20 Ultimate Team captain even better!
