After you finally finish running errands all over the Savage Divide for Rose, you can finally get back to your investigation. The final objective of The Missing Link main quest brought you to Abbie’s Bunker in The Mire, and that’s where the Fallout 76 Early Warnings main quest begins. This quest is all about making repairs.
How to Complete the Fallout 76 Early Warnings Main Quest
To get started with the Fallout 76 Early Warnings main quest simply start exploring Abbie’s Bunker. In the room at the back there should be a Tinker’s Workbench marked by the quest. You already have a Broken Uplink which you collected during Key to the Past, and now you’ll repair it. Use the workbench and select the “Uplink” listing. Creating the item will effectively repair it. Back in the first room you should be able to use the bunker’s Scorched Detection System Terminal. Choose the “Communications Uplink Repaired” topic, then listen to the intercom message. This will get you Raleigh’s Password.
Now you need to head over to another bunker; Raleigh Clay’s Bunker. This site is almost exactly due south of Abbie’s Bunker, along Route 65, past Crevasse Dam. Armed with the password, you can unlock the entrance and head in, where you’ll get another message from Abbie. Now you need to find some Fan Motors. On the southeastern side of the bunker you’ll also get an optional objective to find Raleigh’s Schematics, which can be found in a cabinet in the first room on the right-hand side of the southeast hall. This will get you plans for the Shrouded Wood Armour Mod. A room on the other side of the hall contains the five Fan Motors.
Tracking Down the Heating Coils
With the Fan Motors in hand, you now need to find Heating Coils. These are scattered around the Mire in a few different locations. First up is a third bunker; Ella Ames’ Bunker. This place can be found roughly between Abbie and Raleigh’s Bunkers and slightly westwards. Note that this location is also the start point for the An Organic Solution side quest; completing this quest will allow you to make RadShields and is worth taking some time out to complete. From the main room in Ella Ames’ Bunker, head through the southern door and turn left to find the first Heating Coil.
From Ella Ames’ Bunker, make your way to Relay Tower LW-B1-22. This location is actually in the Savage Divide, just east of the Observatory. The second Heating Coil is inside. With the two Heating Coils in your possession, head back to Abbie’s Bunker to collect the final two Heating Coils from a cupboard near the Tinker’s Workbench. You can now use that Workbench to craft five “Upgraded Motors,” using the Fan Motors you recovered. With all the parts, head through to the main room and select the “Motors Upgraded” topic on the Scorched Detection System Terminal. This will complete the quest. You’ll be rewarded with Stand Fast, a unique modded Combat Armour Torso, as well as a photo frame and random aid items and ammo. The next main quest, Reassembly Required, will begin automatically.
