Maps and Playlists Added to the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Beta

The first Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Beta is currently underway, and with the start of the ‘Open Beta’ period, Infinity Ward has expanded the amount of content available to players. Not only are several new playlists being added, but the studio is also adding extra maps! Plus, all of this is now available for all PS4 owners, as the event has transitioned into an Open Beta. Additionally, the level cap has been raised to 20, allowing players to progress further in the game.

What’s Been Added to the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Beta

Up until today, the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Beta was only available on PS4 for those who have pre-ordered. However, as of today, it transitioned into an Open Beta accessible to all PS4 owners. (The next Beta weekend will be available on PC and Xbox as well.) First up, Infinity Ward is adding new game mode filters for Team Deathmatch, Headquarters, and Domination. Plus, there is now a “Cyber” featured playlist for the Cyber Attack game mode. This features Azhir Cave (Day), Hackney Yard (Day), Gun Runner, and Grazna Raid. The NVG featured playlist, meanwhile, features Azhir Cave (Day) and Hackney Yard (Day) for Team Deathmatch, Domination, and Headquarters.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare Beta Details Update

When it comes to maps, the studio are adding a variety of new options. There are four new 6v6 maps; Azhir Cave (Day), Grazna Raid, Gun Runner, and Hackney Yard (Day). Plus, there’s a 10v10 version of Grazna Raid as well. You can play Team Deathmatch, Domination, and Headquarters on Azhir Cave (Day), Hackney Yard (Day), and Gun Runner. You can only play Domination and Headquarters (not Team Deathmatch) on the 10v10 version of Grazna Raid, however.

In addition, Infinity Ward have released some responses to fan feedback from the Beta so far. Apparently, the studio is currently looking for a temporary fix for a bug that is causing some players to get stuck in the matchmaking lobby, for instance. Some visual bugs that have been reported won’t get fixes straight away, but will get fixes for the next Beta weekend. Specifically, graphical corruption on the matchmaking screen, and a Level Cap displaying at over 10. More details about bug reports, etc. can be found on the studio’s Reddit post.
