New Melee Weapons for Black Ops Cold War May Have Been Leaked

A recent Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War leak may have revealed two of the weapons which Treyarch is planning to bring to the game next. While it can’t yet be confirmed, these could well be weapons which will feature in the next Season, as Season 2’s new weapons have already been revealed.

The Latest Black Ops Cold War Leak

With the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 2, Treyarch revealed six new weapons that would be coming to the game. Five of those have since arrived. The LC10 and FARA 83 launched for free as part of the Season 2 Battle Pass, as per usual. Then, two new melee weapons were released mid-season; the Machete and the E-Tool. Finally, the R1 Shadowhunter crossbow recently arrived, while a final sniper rifle is expected to come soon. The most relevant aspect to this leak, however, are the two melee weapons. This is a format which Treyarch has used before, and if the leak is to be believed, could appear once again in Season 3.

Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War Leak Melee Weapons 2

The leaked code comes from “ZestyLeaks,” a relatively reliable and well-known Call of Duty leaker. According to the screen-shot, a Baseball Bat melee weapon will be coming to the game. In a follow-up to the original Tweet, another Call of Duty leaker known as “_Nanikos_” posted another screenshot; one seemingly showing code referring to the Ballistic Knife. Of course, neither of these ‘leaks’ are confirmed, and should be treated with a pinch of salt. However, neither is especially outlandish. Both weapons would make plenty of sense, especially considering how much of a series staple the Ballistic Knife is.

These new weapons are unlikely to arrive as last-minute additions to Season 2. However, they could very well prove to be the two new melee weapons in Season 3. If so, fans may not need to wait too long; Season 2’s last major update is coming soon, and new melee weapons have tended to arrive early in any given season. Of course, fans will have to wait and see for official confirmation for Treyarch.
