NBA 2K19 MyTeam Throwback Elites & Rewards Cards Include Walt Frazier, Phil Chenier

The NBA 2K19 MyTeam content keeps on dropping with a bunch of new Throwbacks and Rewards cards that just hit the game. Among them are some absolute legends of the game from way back. There’s now a high-rated Walt Frazier and Phil Chenier card to add to teams, putting some all-time greats in the mix with current superstars. Here are more details on which new cards dropped in the game.

NBA 2K19 MyTeam Rewards Cards: Walt Frazier, LaMarcus Aldridge

Just a day ago, NBA 2K19 MyTeam cards arrived for the likes of stars Allen Iverson and Rick Barry. Several more all-time great players dropped on Wednesday (Feb. 27) along with a recent NBA All-Star. The biggest new Rewards card is a sweet Galaxy Opal Walt Frazier. In addition, triple-double machine and assists generator Jason Kidd arrives with a 91 Amethyst and there’s a LaMarcus Aldridge 94-rated Diamond.

Gamers can try to acquire these newest cards through the Rewards Market using tokens. In addition, they may be available at the Auction House, but they’ll cost a pretty decent amount of tokens or currency based on the latest going rates. Still, if you can afford any of these, adding them to a team can help you win those tough competitions on the virtual courts online.

NBA 2K19 MyTeam Throwback Elites Cards: Wizards, Blazers

The Washington Wizards and Portland Trail Blazers are the team themes for the newest Throwback Elites. Among the player cards now available for MyTeam are a 92 Caron Butler, a 95 Arvydas Sabonis, and a 96 Phil Chenier. The latter of these cards is a Pink Diamond and drew plenty of “Who?” comments on Twitter when it was announced. Some gamers were hoping for a Wes Unseld type card instead, or maybe even a Michael Jordan Wizards Throwback.

However, Chenier is an absolute throwback to before the team was known as the Washington Wizards. He was a member of the franchise back when they were the Capital, Maryland, and Washington Bullets from  1971 through 1980. Chenier had career numbers during his years with the squad including averages of 48.3 percent shooting and 21.9 points per game. For his career, he averaged 17.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, three assists, and 1.6 steals per contest.

In addition to his card, gamers can also grab a Diamond card for former center Arvydas Sabonis of the Portland Trail Blazers and the Amethyst Caron Butler card. Both carry high ratings and are sure to make nice boosts for the team or great items to put up in the Auction House for extra currency.

For more cards, take a look at the recent Dwyane Wade Signature Series promotion going on in the game.
