NBA 2K21 MyTeam Season 8 Brings Gladiator Packs With Invincible KD, Active Locker Codes
With the arrival of NBA 2K21 MyTeam Season 8 comes the first packs of the new season. Since this is a Trial of Champions season, it’s only natural that Gladiator Packs are the first ones released. They feature the opportunity to pull some nice 99 OVR upgraded items as well as new Invincible cards for some of the game’s all-time stars. Those include former cover star Dwyane Wade and scoring sensation Tracy McGrady. In addition, there’s a few NBA 2K21 Locker Codes worth entering to get the season going.
Gladiator Packs arrive with NBA 2K21 MyTeam Season 8
We first looked at the NBA 2K21 MyTeam Season 8 details yesterday, and the season launch officially began on Friday, June 4. A trailer arrived (below) which shows off the six 90 OVR player cards that MyTeam gamers receive upon starting the season on Level 1. To get those cards, head to the Agendas spot on the first screen of MyTeam (upper left-hand corner). You’ll receive a pack including all six of the players to start using in various MyTeam game modes.
Gladiator Packs were the first official packs released in Season 8 to the MyTeam Pack Market. These include a great selection of players, and the more expensive single packs of five items feature a Guaranteed Gladiator or Invincible card. The potential Invincible cards are for Tracy McGrady, Dwyane Wade, and Kevin Durant.
There are three 99 OVR Gladiators available with Pascal Siakam, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green. The 98 OVR players include Coby White, Charles Oakley, Maurice Lucas, and the late, great Kobe Bryant.
KD, Kobe among standouts in Gladiator Packs
That new Kobe card is close to his 99 OVR cards which are the Out of Position and Invincible items. It’ll come in at a lower cost at the Auction House, making for a wise purchase for many MyTeamers.
However, the KD card makes him the best two-guard in the game at this point, so expect high prices on that card. Pulling it from a pack would be a sweet pickup.
The lowest available cards in these packs are Diamond cards rated at 94 OVR for Greek Freak, Grant Hill, and Eric Paschall. Some gamers may enjoy the Grant Hill, especially at its price, whereas the Giannis won’t rival his top-tier items.

Active Locker Codes give packs, Kevin Durant card
As NBA 2K21 MyTeam Season 8 got started, 2K gave gamers who play the mode several new Locker Codes to put to use. Two of those codes give the potential for free packs, tokens, or Badges. The other code will be one that some gamers may need to complete a new Signature Challenge.
“TRIAL-OF-CHAMPIONS-STRARTS-NOW” is the first code available as of Friday afternoon. Enter this at the Locker Codes screen in MyTeam Extras to get a chance at Tokens or a Consumables Pack.
Another of the 2K21 Locker Codes dropped an hour later. This one will possibly bring one of the new Gladiator Packs we mentioned above. Additionally, the ball drop could bring a Badge Pack, or some more Tokens to spend on player items at the Market.
Enter “MYTEAM-GLADIATOR-PACKS-2X84R” at the MyTeam Extras screen for Locker Codes to redeem this within the next week. It will expire on Friday, June 11.
The other code gives the Kevin Durant Free Agents card revealed ahead of NBA 2K21 MyTeam Season 8. This card only lasts so many games, but gamers can use it for KD’s Signature Challenge since he’s required to match certain stats.
For the KD card, enter “KD-MyTEAM-SIG-CHALLENGE” at the appropriate Locker Codes screen. This one won’t expire until July 16, 2021, giving a bit more time to redeem it. That said, his Gladiator release, the Invincible card, blows this freebie out of the water if you can afford it.
