New Video Reveals How Quietly the PS5 Runs

Finally. We are just days away from the release of the PlayStation 5! Wondering whether the PlayStation 5 is going to run more quietly than the PlayStation 4? While we don’t know yet how these new consoles will perform over the long haul, so far there are some hopeful indications that they are very quiet. In fact, in a new video, you can check out for yourself how quietly the PS5 runs.

Check Out How Quietly the PS5 Runs

Here is the video that demonstrates how quietly the PS5 runs:

The video shows the PlayStation 5 running Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. The person who captured it brings the camera really close to the console so that you can listen. It is impressively quiet, even while running what must be quite a demanding game. It is a night and day difference with what you may be used to with your PS4.

Indeed, the PlayStation 4 is anything but quiet. The PS4 has drawn numerous comparisons to jet engines, and its high levels of noise have become something of a running joke in the PlayStation community. The larger size of the PS5 allows for improvements to air flow. Liquid metal technology also is supposed to help to maintain cool temperatures inside the unit.

In other PlayStation 5 updates, you can now pre-order PS5-themed merchandise. And if you want to raise your excitement for the new console to even greater heights, you can check out this cool video that shows PS5s in their boxes ready to ship out of a warehouse. Also, we are hearing rumors that stick drift may no longer be an issue (or as much of one) with DualSense as it was with the DualShock 4.
