2019 is coming to a close and a lot of game studios are giving their holiday messages to their fans. From promises of epic proportions and bright futures for established games to a lot of promising game releases. The gaming industry is preparing for an interesting 2019. One of the companies that joined the celebration is none other than Platinum Games.
What does Platinum Games have in mind for 2019?
Atsushi Inaba from Platinum Games recently talked with 4Gamer – translated via Gematsu – about the future of the company. He mentioned that 2019 will be a very intense year for the game company. Not only that, but they also have plenty of game announcements that will definitely please their fans.
“Next year will be an intense year as usual. It seems like it will be a year where Platinum Games aims to step up a few steps, so I’ll do the best that I can.” Said Atsushi Inaba. “If I end it with something safe like that, then my statement won’t be interesting, right? So next year we will make various announcements!”
Another developer who spoke about Platinum Games is Yosuke Saito, better known for producing games like NieR: Automata. “I’m hoping to share more news about Babylon’s Fall, which we’re developing in cooperation with Platinum Games, within the year.” Said the producer. “We also have several other unannounced titles, so I will continue to do my best while making all sorts of sacrifices!”
One of the projects people have wanted to hear news from for a while is Bayonetta 3. The game which was revealed during 2017’s Game Awards as a Nintendo Switch exclusive. You can take a look at Bayonetta 3’s announcement trailer below:
