Pokemon GO January Community Day Set For the 12th

With the start of the new year, Niantic has already set the roadmap for the next steps of Pokemon GO. The studio has another game, Harry Potter Wizards Unite on schedule for release. This doesn’t stop new things coming to their Pokemon mobile game though. They announced the Pokemon GO January Community Da and it includes another starter pokemon to add to your collection.

According to Niantic, the Pokemon GO January Community Day is set for January 12th and will feature Gen 2 starter Pokemon Totodile.

January 12th is a Saturday so you can get your sneakers and mobile phone and go hunting. During the day, you’ll be able to find Totodile easier in the wild and grind to get its evolutions.

As if these weren’t enough, Niantic had more to include in the Pokemon GO January Community Day. Incubators will have four times the effect of normal rates. This means that you can hatch eggs at a quarter of the time you usually do. Furthermore, Lure modules will last for three hours, giving you time to get Totodile and other rare Pokemon easier.

Last but not least, the Third Annual Holiday event in Pokemon GO is now underway. This brings new generation 4 species into the game, a new legendary Raid, higher spawn rates for ice type pokemon and new baby species hatching from eggs.

Mark your calendars for January 12th in order to get Totodile and its evolutions. Even if you don’t intend on getting the featured pokemon, you can get advantage of the incubator and lure features for the day.
