Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 Announces PES Data Pack 5.0 With Updated Player Faces

The look of Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 is about to get a face-lift, or at least a number of players will see changes. The new PES 2019 Data Pack 5.0 was recently announced for the game in the coming days. Along with important changes will come updates for player likenesses as well. Here’s a look at part of the upcoming PES update.

Every so often, we get a new PES game update. The previous update was Data Pack 4.0 for the game. It might be April 1st today, but the Pro Evolution Soccer Twitter account has assured fans they aren’t trying to fool anyone. There really will be a PES 2019 Data Pack 5.0 update coming to the game. They are quick to point out that there will be many players getting updated looks. PES even teased five of the upcoming player face updates. Check them out below.

Each of these players will get new PES looks that better reflect their real-life selves. For those wondering, the players are: Takehiro Tomiyasu (JP) – Sint-Truidense (Belgium); Takuma Nishimura (JP) – CSKA Moskva (Russia); Hidemasa Morita (JP) – Kawasaki Frontale (Japan); Yusuf Yazıcı (TK) – Trabzonspor da (Turkey); and Hany Mukhtar (DE) – Brøndby IF (Sweden).

Several hours later, Pro Evolution Soccer was back on Twitter. This time, they unveiled four more players who will get new faces in the Data Pack 5.0 update. The players shown are Takehiro Tomiyasu, Takuma Nishimura, Hidemasa Morita, Yusuf Yazici, and Hany Mukhtar.

It’s always a great thing to see how sports games are constantly trying to get their player likenesses just right. Even with some of the lesser-known stars of the pitch, both FIFA and competitor PES are looking to make sure they keep tweaking things.

The latest Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 Data Pack 5.0 is slated to arrive on Thursday (Apr. 4) for the game. So make sure to keep that in mind ahead of any tasks you might have planned for the game on Thursday, depending on how long the update install takes.
