Pro Evolution Soccer 2019: PES Data Pack 5.0 Released With Updated Kits, Player Faces & More

Things had been a bit quiet in terms of Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 updates, but they released a decent one for gamers on Thursday (Apr.4). It includes a number of updated player likenesses, team kits, and much more. The changes are mostly in terms of graphics and the look of the various players or teams. Let’s dive into what sorts of things you’ll see in the PES Data Pack 5.0 update.

PES Data Pack 5.0 brings updated team kits

Just days ago, we mentioned the tease for PES’ updated player faces. That’s just one part of the new update. As of Thursday, we’re also seeing a number of teams have updated kits with the Data Pack 5.0 release. They include popular squads such as Argentina, Colombia, Corinthians, and Palmeiras. There are plenty more, though.

In addition, Pro Evolution Soccer updated the clubs in CFA Super League and Thai League for 2019 season. Gamers should now see updated emblems and player data for all of those clubs. They mention that 50 or more clubs are now updated within the game between these leagues and the squads mentioned above.

PES Data Pack 5.0 brings other visual updates

From what we’ve seen so far, the changes (see PES site) that Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 has are mostly visuals. For example, they’ve mentioned that over 60 updates were made for player faces. These include some of the PES partner clubs such as Barcelona and Inter Milan. Japan’s national team players also received face updates.

Two other changes mentioned are updated interview backdrops and new player portraits. The backdrops only apply to Corinthians and Palmeiras. There don’t appear to be a lot of player portraits either, but these will be noticeable for some instances when gamers are setting up a formation or checking stats during their matches.

So far, PES Data Pack 5.0 looks like it will mostly give better looks for teams and players. However, the game still lacks the Premier League. Luckily, some gamers have figured out how to add real teams into PES 2019.
