Rage 2: Post-Launch Content Roadmap Includes Two DLC Expansions

Rage 2 is now officially out in the wild, and there’s plenty more in store for the sequel. Bethesda has shared an official post-launch roadmap which includes free in-game events, paid DLC expansions, and more. In fact, some of the new post-launch additions will arrive as early as later this very month.

According to Bethesda’s 2019 roadmap post, Rage 2 will be getting new content well into the fall season. Most of the new content will be freely available to all players. Said free content includes new in-game events, weapon skins, wasteland challenges, cheat codes, and more.

Developer id Software will also release two paid DLC expansions. Each paid expansion includes new vehicles, character abilities, story missions, and areas to explore among other things. The first expansion, Rise of the Ghosts, even brings back the Ghosts faction from the original Rage. You can find a full breakdown of the Rage 2 2019 content roadmap below.

  • ‘Rise of the Ghosts’ expansion with new enemy faction, weapons, abilities, story elements, and more

Fall, 2019

  • ‘Rageisode 2: Attack of the Drones’ in-game event and new drone enemy type
  • New wasteland challenges
  • Unlockable weapon skins
  • Second paid expansion (not yet named, coming in November) with new story missions, abilities, weapons, vehicles, and more

While Rage 2 is technically playable offline, an online connection is required to participate in the unique in-game events.
