Rumor: PS5 Reveal Coming Soon

How long are we going to have to wait for a full official reveal of the PlayStation 5 from Sony? Being as we’re now midway through January and the console will release during the holiday season this year, it is hard to imagine we will be waiting much longer. But now we have some additional evidence that a PS5 reveal could be coming soon.

Why a PS5 Reveal Event is Likely On the Way

Apparently, Hermen Hulst, head of PlayStation Worldwide Studios, Shuhei Yoshida, former SIE Worldwide Studios President and current Head of Independent Developer Initiative, and Andrew Goldfarb, head of communications at Sucker Punch, all recently visited San Francisco.

So, the question on everyone’s minds is, “What were they doing there?” While there are many possible answers, it seems safe to assume that planning for a PS5 reveal is at least a strong probability. There is, after all, a chance that such a reveal event could take place in San Francisco.

But it is also possible that a PS5 reveal event could take place in NYC. Also, where were Mark Cerny and Jim Ryan? It wouldn’t be a guarantee that they would be there to help with the planning. But it would seem likely. So, their absence could be significant. But at this point, it is hard to say.
