Sony Says “The Future is Coming” at CES 2020

Now that 2020 is here, how much longer will Sony make us wait for a grand reveal of the PlayStation 5? It is hard to imagine the reveal won’t be coming up fast, and lots of news to go with it. Now, there is an indication that the big moment could be slated for the upcoming CES 2020 event.

What Sony Posted About CES 2020

Sony created an announcement page for Consumer Electronics Show 2020 which you can view here. The page reads, “The future is coming,” and underneath that, “At CES 2020 Sony is unveiling a unique vision of the future, bringing creativity and technology together like never before, to unleash new sensations and emotions.”

While that sure is vague, it is hard to think what else at this point Sony would be talking about by discussing “the future” if not the future of PlayStation. But what form the press conference will take and what aspects of the future Sony will share there could range widely. We might see a reveal for the console, or we could just find out more about it and/or games under development for it.

But in any case, Sony scheduled the CES 2020 conference to take place on January 6th, 2020 at 17:00 PST. How can you watch it? Just click back to the same page we linked to before. On that page, you will be able to live-stream the conference, or play the same video afterwards if you miss the chance to tune in as it is happening. And as always, we will strive to keep you up-to-date on our end with PlayStation news.

In fact, there has been quite a bit of recent news from Sony. Find out about a patent for a controller with additional trigger buttons, and learn more about Sony’s continuing commitment to first party games as we move into the PlayStation 5 generation.
