Stash Limit Increase and More Coming in Fallout 76 Patch 6

In Bethesda’s latest “Inside the Vault” blog post, the studio covered a number of topics concerning new content for Fallout 76. The most significant of these was certainly the announcement of ‘Wild Appalachia‘; an upcoming series of weekly PvE updates set to be the studio’s first big content release of the year. Additionally, the studio also gave fans a glimpse at what’s coming in Fallout 76 Patch 6, releasing next week.

What’s Coming in Fallout 76 Patch 6

Fallout 76 Patch 6 is the next big game update, and is scheduled to release next week. According to Bethesda, it will be the last update before Patch 7, which will launch alongside Wild Appalachia. Although patch notes aren’t available yet for Patch 6, Bethesda does detail five key changes coming in the next update. The first of these is something much requested by fans; a second increase to the Stash Limit. This was a key request for many fans when the game first released, and Bethesda did subsequently increase the Stash Limit. Now, they’ll be raising it again from 600 up to 800.

Fallout 76 Patch 6 Includes Stash Limit Increase

“Like last time,” explains Bethesda; “we are constantly evaluating storage space and discussing ways we can make improvements, but not at the expense of server stability. We hope this additional increase to 800 pounds will help you store even more of the awesome items you’ve found in the Wasteland!”

Also coming in Patch 6 are some PvP and UI tweaks. Firstly, you will no longer become ‘Wanted’ when you accidentally shoot, hit, or otherwise disturb another player’s C.A.M.P. You must actually destroy part of the C.A.M.P. in order to become Wanted. Bethesda will apparently keep a close eye on this area for player feedback. Additionally, when you hover over a player on the game map, it will now display their player icon. This will also appear over player-owned Workshops. Plus, you’ll be able to see the owner’s name and icon in the nameplate of turrets.

Finally, Patch 6 will designate the M79 Grenade Launcher and Auto Grenade Launcher as Heavy Weapons. This means that they’ll now be affected by the normal Heavy Weapons perks. However, they will not be affected by Heavy Gunner and will instead be affected by Demolition Expert. The full patch notes, including some quest tweaks and more bug-fixes, should be released next week.
