Super Smash Bros Ultimate Rematch: How to Rematch Against New Challengers

Let’s face it, there are a lot of characters for you to unlock in Super Smash Bros Ultimate like Simon and Richter Belmont. In total, there around 74 fighters in this massive game depending on how you count. Considering you only start with about eight fighters, you may find yourself needing a Super Smash Bros Ultimate rematch if you happen to lose.

Similar to previous games, you have to fight each new challenger and win to unlock them. The only exception to this is if you’re playing through the World of Light Adventure story mode. However, if you are playing through Classic Mode or normal Smash, you can lose the fight to a challenger. Thankfully, there is a way to do a Super Smash Bros Ultimate rematch.

When you have the chance to fight a new challenger, you can lose just like any other match. While they’re normally easy, we’ve noticed that each challenger gets a little harder as time goes on. In fact, this author had to do a few rematches so don’t feel bad if you lose. Thankfully, the game accounts for this and helps you out.
