Major New Update From the Fallout 4: New Vegas Team

Fallout 4: New Vegas is one of the larger and more ambitious mods for Fallout 4. Currently in development, the purpose of the mod is to recreate the entirety of Fallout: New Vegas in Fallout 4. Rather than pure replication; the team behind the project is aiming to make a variety of improvements and tweaks. The team’s latest update hints at major recent progress for the mod.

The Latest Update for Fallout 4: New Vegas

The team working on Fallout 4: New Vegas, which was actually sanctioned by Bethesda, posts regular updates on their Facebook page. The latest update, following a recent break, suggests some significant new developments; “As many of you have seen,” it says; “many new weapons assets have been started or are in the process of being completed for F4NV, and those will be seeing some more in-depth discussion in the very near future. Along with that, we’ve seen a lot of discussion within the community about how weapons, skills, and balance can be handled – we’re really excited to see how invested many of you are in seeing F4NV’s balance at work!”

The Fallout 4 New Vegas Team Have Shown Off Several Weapons Recently

The team has shared screenshots of several new weapon designs in recent updates, including the Varmint Rifle, Sawed-Off Shotgun, and 10mm Submachine Gun. The update goes on to discuss progress on environmental art and other assets; “Our level design team, meanwhile, has been carrying on with the difficult task of building the Mojave outwards, and making the desert an interesting place to explore. Alongside this, work has been put into lighting tweaks for some key sequences that are already present in the game to ensure that things are looking as good as they possibly can be, and doing so while running well.

“All told, the last 2 weeks have been buzzing with activity,” concludes the latest update; “and we have some exciting content lined up to show off some of this work… we’re looking forwards to showcasing our next piece of content very soon.”
