Watch Dogs Legion Gets E3 Reveal

Been waiting with bated breath for the next installment in the Watch Dogs open-world hacking series? That wait is coming to an end. Ubisoft announced the third game in the series at E3, titled “Watch Dogs Legion.” The announcement came with a world premiere trailer and a gameplay walkthrough video.

You can watch the world premiere trailer for Watch Dogs Legion below:

In the game, you will travel to London to experience a “post-Brexit world in which society, politics and technology have changed and altered London’s fortunes.”

So if we’re grasping the implications of the trailer correctly, this game looks … well, amazing, honestly. You are apparently able to recruit literally anyone in the game to join your resistance, and each character will be fully individualized. There’s great diversity in terms of the characters’ ages, backgrounds and abilities (there is even an old—excuse us, “experienced”—woman featured in the trailer).

If you want to get a look at this system in action, you can check out the equally-exciting gameplay walkthrough video:

So going by that, this looks to be a very organic, lively game world that feels very fleshed-out and real. At every moment, there is so much going on while walking down the street. So that means that there are numerous ways you can interact with your environment and individualize your approach to the game. Can’t wait to dive in and explore it? Well, you’ll have to keep holding your breath for a while longer. The release date is March 6th, 2020, so that is quite a ways off. The game will release on PS4, Xbox One, Windows PC and Google Stadia.

But this isn’t the only game which Ubisoft is planning to launch early next year. Also coming up in 2020 are Ghost Recon: Breakpoint and a couple others. Ubisoft also made some other exciting announcements during their panel at E3, which you can read about here. Among them, The Division 2 will be free from June 13th-June 16th. So if you haven’t yet had a chance to check it out, mark your calendar.
