Late tomorrow, on the 19th of May, Treyarch will be launching Season 3 Reloaded for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone. Alongside the month-long ‘80s Action Heroes event and a range of new content, players can also look forward to two new weapons; the Baseball Bat and AMP63 machine pistol.
Black Ops Cold War Season 3 Reloaded – Weapons
The first of these new weapons to come to the game is the Baseball Bat, which will arrive during launch week for Season 3 Reloaded. This weapon will initially be exclusive to Black Ops Cold War and will not be available in Warzone. It will eventually come to Warzone as part of its melee starting lineup in Season 4. “A classic bruiser’s weapon of war,” writes Activision; “and Black Ops Cold War’s newest addition for one-hit melee fans, the Baseball Bat is what you want when the enemy has you in a pickle.”
While Warzone fans will have to wait a while before getting their hands on the Baseball Bat, they can look forward to something else. The Ballistic Knife, which came to Black Ops Cold War earlier in Season 3, is finally be coming to Warzone. The weapon will be arriving in the battle royale game later this week as part of Raven Software’s next update.
The second new weapon, which will be arriving later in Season 3 sometime after the Reloaded update, is the AMP63. This machine pistol will be available in both Black Ops Cold War and Warzone from launch, and will be the former’s fourth sidearm option. Activision describes the weapon as; “a cross between a self-loading pistol and a fully automatic SMG”. Like the Baseball Bat, this weapon will be unlockable by completing a specific in-game challenge. Store bundles will also be available containing a specific Blueprint version of each weapon, as per usual.
