Wolfhunter: What’s Included in Elder Scrolls Online’s Latest DLC?

Wolfhunter is the next upcoming DLC for Elder Scrolls Online. Announced at E3 by Bethesda, the expansion will be the first of two to release this year; Murkmire is a much larger DLC set in the region of Black Marsh. Although a full release date has yet to be announced, Elder Scrolls Online Wolfhunter recently became available on the game’s private test servers.

The Elder Scrolls Online Wolfhunter DLC

As the name suggests, Wolfhunter is themed around werewolves. While werewolves already existed in Elder Scrolls Online, Wolfhunter will be adding a great deal of new content related to them. The current werewolf system is being overhauled to improve almost every aspect, including Blood Rage. The story, meanwhile, is themed around the Daedric prince Hircine, the patron of werewolves. Players will have the chance to travel to the Hunting Grounds, Hircine’s Daedric realm. A new crafting style which is set to feature allows players to dress as gothic-style werewolf hunters.

A New Crafting Style Lets Players Dress as Werewolf Hunters

Besides the new werewolf systems, the main part of the Wolfhunter DLC are two new dungeons. March of Sacrifices is the first, in which players will travel through the Hunting Grounds. Along the March, they’ll face rival hunters and an Indrik boss. Indriks first appeared in the Summerset expansion, and resemble a cross between a wolf and a stag. The second of the two new dungeons is Moon Hunter Keep. This ruined castle was once a garrison of the Silver Dawn, an order of werewolf hunters. Here, players will face a pack of werewolves led by a pack leader called Vykosa.

In addition to the core content, the Wolfhunter DLC will feature a new Battleground called Istirus Outpost. In addition, Keep Recall Stones are a new addition for the Alliance War, allowing players to recall back to any of the game’s keeps. A few other tweaks and changes will also be made to the war. Finally, a new re-spec system will allow players to specifically change aspects of their characters and remove skills one at a time; an improvement over previous iterations of the system.
