WWE 2K19 Legends Revealed For Roster Include Two Undertakers, The Rock, Ric Flair, And More

As of Tuesday, 2K Sports unveiled another 55 playable superstars for the upcoming WWE video game. The WWE 2K19 roster reveal included a number of the biggest legends from over the years. Ric Flair, Sting, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Kurt Angle are among the WWE 2K19 legends. There’s also Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and two different playable Undertaker characters.

WWE 2K19 Roster Includes Two Undertakers

According to IGN’s report, a regular Undertaker and a 2002 Undertaker were revealed for the WWE 2K19 title. First, is the well-known Undertaker that fans are familiar with. That version of the “Deadman” is the one with the chilling theme music for his entrance as he walks to ring. His gear includes the trademark long trench coat, hat, gloves, and menacing look. That’s the look he’s been seen in for his most recent matches and most likely will be his look at the WWE Super Showdown in Melbourne, Australia next month.

A look at the previous "Big Evil" Undertaker from the WWE 2K18 game.

As far as the 2002 Undertaker version goes, he was known as the “American Badass” back in 2001 and rode a motorcycle to the ring. In a newer gimmick, he eventually cut his long hair short and adopted a “Big Evil” persona (above). It’s believed that will be the 2002 version fans get with the WWE 2K19 roster. During that run, he was still partly using the biker gimmick and had feuds with the likes of John Cena, Brock Lesnar, and Vince McMahon. He ultimately returned to his “Deadman” gimmick in 2004.

Other WWE 2K19 Roster Legends

In addition to Taker, 2K announced 54 other playable superstars today. They feature some of the all-time greats, some of whom have passed away. They include Eddie Guerrero, Macho Man Randy Savage, Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat, Mr. Perfect, Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart and the Ultimate Warrior.

Other highlights are The Rock, Rey Mysterio, Batista, Shawn Michaels, and Chris Jericho. Former WWE Women’s and Divas Champions including Alundra Blaze, Beth Phoenix, Lita, and Trish Stratus are also represented. Now fans can play a few of those scheduled matches for the women’s pay-per-view Evolution.

As seen above, The Undertaker isn’t the only “legend” to appear twice on the latest WWE 2K19 roster either. The latest announcement indicated that Papa Shango and The Godfather are a part of the roster. However, there is no indication if Kama Mustafa is included. Fans can always create him if necessary.

Noticeably missing from the roster is Hulk Hogan. While it appears he is heading back into the good graces with the company, the game may have been in development while WWE was working things out. Just like Kama, fans can create their own playable superstars once the game arrives. 2K19 may also have DLC updates in the future and it’s always possible “The Hulkster” is part of an update.
