Xbox Games With Gold November 2018 Lineup Revealed

Microsoft has unveiled the November lineup of free Xbox Games with Gold titles. The standout inclusion is undoubtedly DICE’s WWI shooter Battlefield 1, though fans of single-player games will be happy as well.

Xbox Live Games With Gold For November 2018 Lineup

Offering Battlefield 1 as a free game in November makes perfect sense from a marketing standpoint. The multiplayer shooter’s newer, shinier successor, Battlefield V, arrives later in the month on November 20. What better way to get potential fans hyped for Battlefield V than by letting them play Battlefield 1 for free?

Aside from Battlefield 1, there’s a fairly decent lineup of games available throughout the month. Racing fans can try out the indie hit Race the Sun starting on November 16. The very first Assassin’s Creed game and action/adventure title Dante’s Inferno round out November’s offerings. Dante’s Inferno and Assassin’s Creed are November’s Xbox 360 titles, but both games are also backwards compatible on Xbox One. This means that, as usual, Xbox One owners essentially get four free games to add to their digital libraries.

Assassin's Creed will be free for Xbox Live Gold subscribers in November.

The original Assassin’s Creed is over a decade old, having launched way back in 2007. However, it’s still a solid open-world adventure game and worth playing if you enjoyed more recent Assassin’s Creed titles. Dante’s Inferno, meanwhile, is an action-focused reimagining of the classic literary work.

The full list of Xbox Games with Gold titles for November and their respective availability dates are listed below:

  • Battlefield 1 – November 1-30
  • Race the Sun – Nov. 16 – Dec. 15
  • Assassin’s Creed – November 1-15
  • Dante’s Inferno – November 16-30

Battlefield V will move the timetable up slightly from Battlefield 1’s WWI setting to WWII. Unlike Battlefield 1, DICE’s latest shooter won’t have a Premium Pass or DLC maps packs. Battlefield V also won’t have pay-to-win microtransactions or loot boxes. For more on how Battlefield V will differ from its predecessors, you can read about the game’s Company system.
