XFL Madden 20 Mod Brings Football Video Game Concept to Life

Sports video game fans can finally experience what an XFL video game could be like! As the month of March is underway, the XFL 2020 season is halfway over and there’s no official video game for the rebooted league yet. However, an XFL Madden 20 mod recently arrived in beta form, giving fans of the league a chance to mess around with the teams using some of their rosters in true-to-life stadiums.

New XFL Madden 20 mod arrives in beta form

VGR previously reported on the XFL video game rumors that arrived online as there were reports 2K might be the “frontrunner” to create a game for the football league. We also gave our thoughts on some potential cover stars. While the game hasn’t been confirmed by anyone, it hasn’t stopped ambitious gamers from creating their own XFL Madden 20 mod to experience the fun of the league.

YouTuber Chris Denker regularly covers the WWE 2K video games in his videos. However, he released a video on Sunday (Mar. 1) talking about his experiences playing with the new XFL Madden 20 mod in beta form. In Denker’s video, he uses the St. Louis BattleHawks against the Cardale Jones and the DC Defenders and has a whole lot of fun in the process!

As Denker mentions in his video, the XFL Madden 20 mod is only available for PC users right now. So that means PS4 and Xbox Madden players won’t be able to enjoy it unless they also play Madden on a PC for some reason.

It also doesn’t include the complete rosters, as Denker says there’s about half the teams’ personnel so far due to it being a beta. The Twitter account for the creator(s) behind the mod note that so far it’s just the DC Defenders, St. Louis BattleHawks, Houston Roughnecks, and Dallas Renegades.

XFL graphics, where to get the mod for PC

Even without all the rosters available, the look of the XFL fields, stadiums, and team gear is on point, bringing a sample of what a video game could look like in the future if done right. Below are some of the visuals from the XFL mod including all eight team stadiums, and some of the players on the field.

Of course, the game is unlikely to be released by EA. They would essentially be creating a competitor for their Madden football games. Should 2K create an XFL game, one has to hope they’ll do better than their WWE 2K20 fiasco.

In the meantime, PC gamers can head to the Google Drive link here to check out the entertaining XFL Madden 20 mod in beta.
