4 Upcoming Bandai Namco Switch Games To Watch Out For This Year

In case you haven’t realized, I have a bit of a soft spot for Bandai Namco and their one of my favorite publishers. Why? Because they bring out some of the best games in the world, and with the company promising to bring out more Nintendo Switch games in the future, it’s only right to talk about 4 upcoming Bandai Namco Switch games to look out for this year and why you should be excited to play them.

Dragon Ball FighterZ

Bandai Namco Switch

Dragon Ball FighterZ is a 2.5D fighting game where you are in a team of 3 characters who duke it out against your opponents. The game has already been out on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One since January this year and has won the heart of many fans out there, including those who don’t even know anything about the anime/manga series.

What’s more, Dragon Ball FighterZ has become a huge presence in eSports, with winner SonicFox gaining huge popularity at winning the Grand Final of a Dragon Ball FighterZ tournament at EVO this year.

Interested? The game will be coming to Nintendo Switch on September 28th, 2018.

Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition

Tales of Vesperia remaster

Arguably one of the best Tales of games in the franchise, Tales of Vesperia originally came out back in 2008 where it was developed by Namco Tales Studio for the Xbox 360. It came out a year later to the West, but only for the Xbox 360, whereas Japan had access to the game on the PS3. Because of this, quite a few fans have not been able to play the game.

Fortunately, Bandai Namco seems to want to change that. During E3 this year they announced that the JRPG would be heading to the Nintendo Switch with all DLC, as well as content that was not previously seen in the West. If you’re a fan of the Tales of series, or just JRPGs in general, then Tales of Vesperia is certainly a game you should watch out for.

Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition has yet to be given a release date, though Bandai Namco has said it will be released in winter 2018.

Dark Souls Remastered

Dark Souls Remastered Switch

Praise the sun, we finally have a date for Dark Souls Remastered for the Nintendo Switch. In my opinion, what really drives people to Dark Souls is its huge name and compelling gameplay, where players try to be the best of the best. That and who doesn’t like to delve deep into the darkest dungeons imaginable, just to come face to face with a monster on spindly legs and a creepy smile?

Like Dragon Ball FighterZ, Dark Souls Remastered has been out for quite a while on other platforms, but the portability of the Switch does make it so that you can slay your enemies no matter where you go, which is quite the feat.

Dark Souls Remastered for the Nintendo Switch will be out October 19th, 2018.

Taiko No Tasujin

Taiko No Tasujin

Taiko No Tasujin has earned itself a bad reputation in the West due to their not being a physical edition of the game, nor the drums, being released when it debuts in November. While I can understand wanting a physical edition, we’re just happy that this wonderful game will finally be making its way to us so we can bang some drums!

Taiko No Tasujin is a rhythm game where you bang Taiko drums in time with the music, which is great because there are some real amazing pieces of music from there from all over the world. This includes Frozen, Tales of Berseria and even Katy Perry. And the best part? You can make magical music with your friends.

Taiko No Tasujin is set to release for the Nintendo Switch on November 2nd, 2018.
