Assassins Creed Odyssey Update 1.03 Just Released for PS4 and Xbox One

It’s been nearly two weeks since Assassins Creed Odyssey released, and what a time of fun that has been. Only, when you’ve been playing a game for so long, you’re bound to come by some problems. Namely glitches and bugs. While these can be entertaining, there is also the chance that they are also game-breaking. That quickly stops the game from being so fun. Thankfully, Ubisoft has just released the Assassins Creed Odyssey Update 1.03 to help save our sanity.

The update information comes from GearNuke, who has revealed that as of now the PC update has not had any new information attached to it. This doesn’t mean that there won’t be an update for PC, so Ubisoft fans on the PC, please don’t worry. Your update is more than likely on the way.

But what does the new Assassins Creed Odyssey Update 1.03 change?

As for the PS4 and Xbox One, the patch 1.03 makes the following changes.

  • Implemented some “quality-of-life” and usability improvement features.
  • Addressed various “game breaking” issues that could happen in specific conditions.
  • Improved performance and stability.

As you may know, there were some issues relating to textures and lighting in the game. Meaning that in some playthroughs, there were scenes that looked as though someone had decided to switch the lights off. Again, while funny, it stopped being so after a while.

There are other issues that were fixed too. Such as:

  • Legendary items not obtained from killing Cultists when straying too far/fast traveling before confirming the kill.
  • Texture issues on Silver Islands when using Ikaros.
  • Myrrine and Brasidas getting teleported to Naxos.
  • An issue where Zoisme and Kallias are spawned in the Cave of Gaia and can’t be reached.
  • Aphrodite’s Embrace achievement not being unlocked after spending a night with Xenia.
  • A mercenary getting stuck inside a closed house in Fort Samikon.

We also have the PC fixes too, for whenever the PC update is officially released.

  • Dialogue with Barnabas not triggering after obtaining his shipment. This causes players to miss the quest.
  • VRAM meter doesn’t update in real-time during dialogue options.
  • Benchmark not recording data on Windows 7.
  • Rainy weather during a benchmark session.
