Borderlands 3 Vault Hunters: What We Know So Far About Moze

Thus far, fans know relatively little about the four new Borderlands 3 Vault Hunters. As with every new Borderlands game, players will have access to four new playable characters, and in this case, those four are Amara, FL4K, Moze, and Zane Flynt. Based on what has been shown so far, it seems as though Moze “the Gunner” will take a familiar Borderlands play-style but take it in a new direction.

Borderlands 3 Vault Hunters: Moze

“Once a soldier in the Vladof army’s Ursa Corps, Moze left their service to pursue her own mercenary interests and hunt for the Vaults,” reads Gearbox’s official cosplay guide; “When the going gets tough, she can use her digistruct pack to summon her heavy mech ‘Iron Bear’ and face down an army without flinching, using powerful mounted weapons to mow the opposition down. A veteran of wars from across the six galaxies, Moze and Iron Bear are a force to be reckoned with.”

Borderlands 3 Vault Hunters Moze What We Know 2

Beyond that brief synopsis, Gearbox hasn’t released any further information about Moze’s backstory. However, the studio announced earlier today that they would be releasing more character details throughout the next two weeks. It’s interesting to note that Moze once fought for Vladof, one of the setting’s arms manufacturers. These companies, and their respective militaries, may play a larger role in Borderlands 3 than in previous games. Information unveiled recently about the new planet of Promethea revealed that players will be facing off against the armies of Maliwan. Perhaps Vladof will also make an appearance?

When it comes to play-style, Moze seems to be roughly equivalent to Roland and Axton. (“The Soldier” and “The Commando” Vault Hunters from Borderlands and Borderlands 2, respectively.) In their cases, both characters had the ability to deploy remote turrets. Moze seems to evolve this concept to the next level. Instead of a turret, she can summon her ‘Iron Bear’ mech. The Iron Bear is likely to be a force to be reckoned with. However, it also serves a useful purpose in multiplayer; other players can ride on the outside of the Iron Bear, further enhancing its firepower.
