Destiny 2: 5 Exotic Armor You Must Have Before Shadowkeep

Yesterday, I wrote a guide on which Exotic weapons you should and must have before Destiny 2 Shadowkeep launches this fall (counting down the days – 18). Today, we’re back with yet another guide on which Exotic Armor pieces you must grind for before Shadowkeep. Tomorrow, we’ll be talking about the Exotic weapons for PvP.

5 Exotic Armors You Must Have In Destiny 2

Note: Most of these Exotics are random drops from Destiny 2 world activities like the Crucible, Raids, and other pinnacle activities.

Liar’s Handshake (Hunter Gauntlets)

Destiny 2 Exotic Armor Peices

Liar’s Handshake was added in Season of the Drifter. This is probably one of the best exotics for Hunters in-game for PvE activities. When combined with a shotgun with One-Two Punch perk, and top-tree Arcstrider. You can single-handedly melt most of the Strike bosses if you know how to pull this strategy. Here’s our complete guide on this.

Intrinsic perk: Using your Arc melee ability or being hit by a melee attack will allow you to follow up with an extremely powerful melee counterpunch that will heal you.

How to get: Random Drop, Engram, and Vendor

Lunafaction Boots (Warlock Boots)

Destiny 2 Exotic Armor Peices

Now, this exotic has been around for some time. It was added in vanilla Destiny 2 back in 2017. It allows players to fire their weapon without ever reloading it if they’re in a Warlock rift or Well of Radiance. Now, we know that Lunafaction Boots and Rally Barricades are changing in Shadowkeep. But, this exotic would still be useful for some weapons like – Izanagi’s Burden (with catalyst).

Intrinsic perk: Your Rifts gain the additional ability to automatically reload allies’ weapons. Empowering Rift makes weapons effective over longer ranges.

How to get: Random Drop, Engram, and Vendor

Helm of Saint-14 (Titan Helmet)

Destiny 2 Exotic Armor Peices

In Shadowkeep, Weapons of Light is back. This means Titans in Destiny 2 will be able to grant overshield and blind enemies who enter the bubble using this exotic – Helm of Saint-14. This exotic was added in Curse of Osiris (first expansion of Destiny 2).

Intrinsic perk: Enemies that enter Ward of Dawn are blinded, while allies that pass through gain an overshield. Guarding with Sentinel Shield blinds nearby enemies.

How to get: Random Drop, Engram, and Vendor

Orpheus Rig (Hunter Boots)

Destiny 2 Exotic Armor Peices

Every Hunter must be familiar with this exotic armor piece. It’s a go-to exotic when running a Tether for ads control in Raid or Strike. This allows you to gain super energy with every tethered enemy or enemy kills.

Intrinsic perk: Provides ability energy for each enemy tethered by Deadfall anchors. Moebius Quiver has more shots.

How to get: Random Drop, Engram, and Vendor

Phoenix Protocol (Warlock Chest Armor)

Destiny 2 Shadowkeep Peices

This exotic armor piece was added in Forsaken. But not most of the players knew about how good it was up until the Season of the Drifter – in The Reckoning. Lunafaction Warlock and Phoenix Protocol Warlock is a must when grinding Reckoning.

Intrinsic perk: Kills and assists you make while standing in your Well of Radiance return Super energy.

How to get: Random Drop, Engram, and Vendor

Destiny 2: Shadowkeep will be hitting PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, on October 1, 2019, and later in November on Google Stadia.
