Fallout 76 Could Be Releasing As Early As Next Month

Bethesda are well-known for announcing games and releasing them sooner than expected – it took Fallout 4 only six months to go from initial announcement to hitting store shelves, for example. With that in mind, a recent rumor has surfaced that suggests that there is a possibility that the behemoth studio’s newly revealed Fallout 76 may well be coming sooner than we all anticipated.

According to the game’s original Amazon listing, Fallout 76 was scheduled to arrive on the 31st of July. Very soon after the product page was listed, the release date was promptly amended to a more vague 31st of December placeholder launch date. Whether it’s purely a mistake on Amazon’s part, or whether the retailer is privy to some unrevealed information remains to be seen. Whatever it may be, it’s certainly interesting, no?

The word on the street is that the new Fallout 76 title will be an online-centric experience akin to Rust or The Elder Scrolls Online. With so much speculation about Fallout 76 making the rounds, one thing is definitely certain: we’ll surely hear more concrete information about the highly anticipated game at Bethesda’s key-note at E3 on Sunday 10th of June.

In other Fallout-related news, a massive “New California” mod is set to release this October for Fallout: New Vegas on PC. It’s apparently been written as a prequel to Obsidian’s 2010 installment and has been worked on by Radian-Helix Media for about five years. It may even end up being one of the largest mods ever created. Color us intrigued!
