Fortnite’s Infinity Gauntlet Limited Time Mode Has Been Altered A Second Time

Fortnite’s new Infinity Gauntlet Limited Time Mode has already gone through several changes since it made its debut, and yet for some reason it’s already had a few more as of today. In fact, Epic Games rolled them out in two different waves today, which makes this the second official time the mode has been altered.

The first fix that went live changed up a problem that players were having with loot drops :

  • Fixed floor loot drops to correctly only spawn Rare, Epic and Legendary quality weapons within the Infinity Gauntlet LTM.

Here are the official patch notes:

Thanos Changes

  • Increased Beam from 12 to 20 damage on players.
  • Increased Punch damage from 80 to 100.
  • Decreased health from 800 to 500.

General Mode Changes

  • Reduced height of the Bus when dropping
  • Bigger initial storm circle
  • Less storm damage early game (first 3 storms from 5%/5%/10% per tick to 1%/2.5%/5%)
  • Initial Gauntlet spawn time changed from bus ride plus 30-45s to bus ride plus 120-135s
  • Increased spawn rate of Med Kits, Chug Jugs and Big Shields.
  • Removed spawn of Bandages and Slurp Juice.

Keep in mind that this mode has only been live since May 8, and given the clip at which Epic Games is changing things up, we might be seeing additional changes coming down the pipeline giving the company’s goal:

“Our goal is to allow more folks to truly experience the power of Thanos, while also making you feel powerful when wielding the gauntlet.”

Have you been spending a lot of time in-game with Thanos? Or maybe you don’t know how to become Thanos in the first place. We’ve got you covered there. Need some help taking out other players who get the Infinity Gauntlet and wipe the floor with you? We can help you there, too. We’ll talk to you the next time there’s another nerf.
