Full time job from E Sports?

Is it actually possible for a new gamer, that eventually advances his or her skill set to work in E Sports full time and make a full time job out of it? Does anyone know anyone in real life who has actually managed to achieve that? Or, is it just the famous names I see that keeping popping up?

It's very possible for a new gamer to actually turn their passion into a full-time career in eSports because I've seen it happen before. It's extremely competitive but I've seen some players successfully made the transition.

Sure, it’s very possible because I have a friend who started competing in local tournaments and he eventually joined a professional team. He now earns a good income.
