Granblue Fantasy Collaborates With Tales of Series, Introduces New Events

On July 15th in Osaka, Japan, the development studio Cygames hosted the Granblue Fantasy Summer Festival. It came with a number of different events and announcements for the summer until the beginning of fall, meaning that players who are fans of the game certainly won’t be struggling to find something to do throughout that time. However, there was one announcement that stood above the rest: Granblue Fantasy would be collaborating with the Tales of Series mobile game, Tales of Asteria.

This is huge news for fans of both franchises, and while Granblue Fantasy has had collaborations with other games before, the inclusion of Tales of Vesperia’s male lead, Yuri Lowell, will be sure to reel some newcomers in as well. However, Yuri won’t be the only Tales protagonist that’ll be joining Cygames popular mobile game on the iOS and Android. Milla Maxwell from Tales of Xillia as well as Sophie from Tales of Graces will be joining in on the collaborative fun too.

Dedicated Granblue Fantasy players will already be aware that this isn’t the first time the series has introduced the Tales characters for a collaboration. But introducing them again will give those who never got to partake in the event before a good chance to check it for themselves. Personally, we’re a little sad that no new Tales of Series games got introduced, but that’s because we’re a little biased when it comes to Tales of Berseria.

Nevertheless, there were a lot more announcements during the festival too such as the mysterious Granblue Fantasy Summer event (titled Biribiri Electrical Summer) that comes with a variety of beachwear for the characters, the inclusion of plenty of side stories for players to dig into and the introduction of new Arcanum characters, such as Monica.

Unfortunately, the game is only available in Japan. However, thanks to Dual Shockers you can read about how to install the game and play it in English.
