Jump Force Goku Super Saiyan Blue Won’t Be a Separate Character

Bandai Namco’s Jump Force was officially announced during E3 this year, however, there hasn’t been any information about a definite release date at all apart from it’ll come out sometime next year. But, what we do know, is that Goku from Dragon Ball looks to be able to transform into Goku Super Saiyan Blue during the time you spend duking out on your enemy.

This news comes from Bandai Namco’s official Twitter account, where a promotional picture of Goku showing off his SSGSS form for all to see. For those who are unaware, Goku’s Super Saiyan Blue form is a pretty big deal, as it’s a hell of a lot more powerful and combines a godly amount of ki. So if you see your opponent suddenly transform into Goku’s Super Saiyan Blue form? Tread carefully before you perform your next move.

But the real problem? People are worried that Goku’s new form means that he’ll have another character slot dedicated to him.

For those who are more intrigued by new characters, the potential of Goku getting another slot would have caused more than a little frustration between fans – especially those who want more female characters to join the roster.

Thankfully Bandai Namco has, perhaps unintentionally, answered the question on whether Goku Super Saiyan Blue would be a separate character or not. Following the announcement of Goku’s new form, the Twitter account tweeted to ask whether players had any idea on how they could activate Goku’s Super Saiyan Blue form while in battle.

So, panic over? Not quite. While fans may now know that there won’t be a separate slot for Goku, the discussion on whether he’ll be severely overpowered or not is now being asked on social media. It looks like Bandai Namco won’t be getting a break from its players anytime soon.
