We already know a few bits and pieces of information starring Jump Force, but we’re still in the dark about a lot of things. One of those things is female characters. Now, while nothing makes us more misty-eyed than seeing our favorite Shonen Jump guys battling it out, and potentially teaming up kick Light Yagami’s spoilt ass into the next century, us ladies are still missing out on some badass anime women taking names and kicking butt.
As much as we love Shonen Jump, (and Shonen anime in general), we’d be lying if we said we didn’t notice the large space in Jump Force’s E3 trailer where there were no women to be seen. Granted, you could argue that women in Shonen anime aren’t the protagonists and so it makes sense why they wouldn’t be included in the trailer, but we would have liked to have seen at least one female character in the demo at the very least.
Thankfully Jump Force’s producer, Koji Nakajima, did confirm to Kotaku that there would be playable female characters in the game. And while he made no mention of who, it does allow fans plenty of time to speculate who could be involved in the upcoming game and how they would fit into the story of Jump Force.
For example, from Naruto we already have the main man himself and Sasuke Uchiha, so it would make sense that the other of the main three from Team 7, Sakura Haruno, would be included too. The inclusion of Chi Chi from Dragon Ball may also be a possibility, and despite characters who don’t have superhero powers not being included, we’ve love Bulma to sneak her way in there too.
There is also the possibility of Misa Amane turning up in the story, especially as she’s a key part to Light’s story as the Death Note killer Kira. Though we doubt she’ll be playable, as like Light and Ryuk, she’d be extremely overpowered.
