Loba’s Hunt for Revenant in the Apex Legends Season 5 Launch Trailer

The Apex Legends Season 5 launch trailer has arrived, and while it doesn’t feature any actual gameplay of the upcoming Legend, it does put Loba front-and-centre, focusing on her vengeful hunt for Revenant in the Apex Games. The explosive new trailer also includes a big reveal for Revenant, indicating that killing him permanently will be no easy task.

The Apex Legends Season 5 Launch Trailer

The Apex Legends Season 5 launch trailer continues the story of the recent Stories From the Outlands episode; “Legacy of a Thief”. Loba has followed her lead on Revenant to the Apex Games, where she descends into a subterranean facility below King’s Canyon. There, hundreds of Revenant bodies are in storage, together with what appears to be Revenant’s original head. Loba’s attempt to kill him fails, although the facility does suffer extreme damage. This appears to be as far as Loba’s story progresses, at least for now. However, it remains to be seen whether Respawn will continue it in the future.

The new trailer doesn’t include any gameplay. However, it does nevertheless give players a lot of teasers for what Loba’s abilities will be like. Importantly, she is seen using a teleportation device which allows her to teleport wherever it is thrown. She is also able to teleport a gun into her hands, indicating that she will be able to pick up loot at a distance in-game. Fans shouldn’t have to wait too long before they get some concrete details, however. Now that the season’s launch is less than a week away, Respawn is likely to release a gameplay breakdown for Loba very soon.

Apex Legends Season 5 Launch Trailer Released 2

That breakdown may well include details of the new Quest system coming to Apex Legends in Season 5. At present, almost nothing is known about what the new ‘Season Quest’ will be. However, its inclusion seems to be in place of a new weapon; after all, Season 5 will be the first Apex Legends Season which doesn’t add a new gun to the game. As such, Quests will presumably become an important part of the game’s seasonal content.
