Last month, ZeniMax Online Studios announced that Lawrence Schick, the long-serving Loremaster for The Elder Scrolls: Online, would be departing from his position. Schick published a farewell letter on the game’s website, thanking the game’s thriving community of fans for their passion and dedication. Now, ZeniMax has announced who will be replacing him. The new Loremaster will be Leamon Tuttle; a content designer and writer who has a long history of working on the game.
Introducing our new loremaster: Leamon Tuttle! @Tuttle_Power has been working on the ESO team for 8+ years and has spent 6 years designing content for the game. He was the principal writer on both Clockwork City and Murkmire. We are very excited to have him move into this role! pic.twitter.com/LKVD8HMvVA

The New Elder Scrolls: Online Loremaster
ZeniMax Online Studios announced the promoting of Leamon Tuttle to the position of Loremaster recently via Twitter. As stated in the tweet, Tuttle; “has been working on the ESO team for 8+ years and has spent 6 years designing content for the game. He was the principal writer on both Clockwork City and Murkmire,” ZeniMax goes on to explain; “We are very excited to have him more into this role!”
Lawrence Schick will certainly be missed by the game’s community, especially those with a passion for Elder Scrolls lore. However, Tuttle seems a perfect fit for the role. It’s unknown yet whether he will continue to publish lore-centric articles on the game’s website, as Schick did, but it seems likely. After all, the ESO community is large and varied, and a sizeable portion of that audience are devotees of the lore. Given ZeniMax’s interest in promoting its community, it seems unlikely that they would do away with that aspect of things.
ZeniMax often goes out of their way to support or promote community content creators. The studio often publishes collections of community-made guide videos, and sometimes interviews notable community figures. Their latest Community Spotlight featured ‘screenographer’ Aeyvi, a streamer who produces high-quality artistic screenshots. No doubt the ESO community will soon start to hear more from Leamon Tuttle as he takes over the position of ESO Loremaster… especially as we approach the release date of the upcoming Elsweyr DLC.
