Pokemon Go Community Day Set For July 8th, Here’s What You Need To Know
The July Pokemon Go Community Day has been set for July 8th. Much like what classic Pokemon titles have been doing for a long time now, Pokemon GO is encouraging players to work together, reach goals and get a handful of rewards for doing so.
As Niantic announced, players all around the world will be able to play together during a certain time at July 8th in order to get the Pokemon Go Community Day featured Pokemon along with double XP, quarter-half egg hatching time, 3 hour long lures, extra Stardust and more.
The Pokemon Go Community Day featured Pokemon for July is Squirtle and you’d want to get your Pokeball amount high enough for you to be able to get enough of those blue guys and make a high CP Blastoise. Or just get the shiny version of Squirtle to keep or trade, which will also be available during the Pokemon Go Community Day.
Furthermore, if you manage to evolve your Squirtle all the way up to a Blastoise during the Pokemon Go Community Day time window, it will have the Water-type Hydro Cannon move. As if this wasn’t enough, an exclusive Squirtle with Sunglasses, based on Squirtle Squad will be available to catch, so let’s find out who will be the lucky ones.

- Europe, Middle East, Africa, India: 10am to 1pm UK (BST), 11am to 2pm CET
- North America, South America and Greenland: 11am to 2pm PST, 2pm to 5pm EST
- Asia Pacific: 12pm to 3pm JST
Make sure to be prepared and set your alarms for the start of the Pokemon Go Community Day. This is a good time to stack up your incubators since walking this Sunday will make Pokemon hatch four times quicker and be “armed” with hundreds of Pokeballs to catch those sweet Squirtles.
