New Zombies Content Coming in Black Ops Cold War Season 3 Reloaded

Tomorrow (or later this evening, depending on your time-zone), Treyarch will be launching Season 3 Reloaded for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. The next big content release since the start of Season 3 includes a special event, new weapons, and a whole selection of new features for Zombies.

Season 3 Reloaded – New Zombies Content

The ongoing story of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s Zombies mode will be moving onto its next chapter with the launch of Season 3 Reloaded. One of the update’s largest features is a new Main Quest for the game’s Outbreak mode. “The events that unfold within will set the stage for the next round-based map in Black Ops Cold War Zombies,” writes Activision; “as well as what’s still to come in future seasons.”

A Main Quest isn’t the only new feature coming to Outbreak with Season 3 Reloaded. The mode is also getting a new World Event; one that should be immediately apparent to players. Towering and monstrous Orda can now be encountered throughout the Ural Mountains. These enemies are a major threat, but also offer major rewards if players can take them down. A fishing mechanic, of all things, is also coming to Outbreak. New fishing poles can be found across the map, allowing players to fish up items.

Over in the Die Maschine and Firebase Z maps, players will be able to play a new Cranked variant. “Cranked 2: No Time to Crank” is part of the new ‘80s Action Heroes event. Players start with a Knife in this variant mode, and all Crafting Tables and Wall Buys are disabled. Mystery Boxes, meanwhile, are all active and contain a range of different weapons and Support items. In particular, players are likely to find explosives, and zombies will also drop explosives more often. Of course, the regular Cranked timer is still a core feature of this mode.
