Ravenfreak Posted January 25 Share Posted January 25 I'm not sure if anyone was aware, but a fan was porting Portal over to the Nintendo 64. However, the project was taken down since it used proprietary libraries and Valve didn't want Nintendo to come knocking on their door and try suing them. Someone else is working on removing the proprietary libraries so the project could potentially continue if all the proprietary code is removed from the project. Usually I do get upset at Nintendo when ROM hacks are taken down especially if people aren't making a profit off the hacks, but this time it makes sense for Valve to be cautious.
