I heard good things about the first game, and always wanted to pick it up, but never made the push to get it. The first game in the series was Shellshock: Nam '67 a traditional style third person military shooter that takes place during the Vietnam war. I knew a friend who owned it growing up and I remember watching him playing it during a sleepover. And then following that, they released Shellshock 2: Blood Trails, which I hear had some horror themed elements, but instead of it being in third person, they instead went with FPS style gameplay. The story also takes inspiration from real stories during the Vietnam war, but they also make some aspects of the story up. Especially if there are horror elements in this one. But, I hear it was critically worse than the original game and nothing came afterwards. Do you think we could one day see a revival of this franchise? Or is it pretty much dead?
