killamch89 Posted October 24, 2024 Posted October 24, 2024 I've been playing games for years, and I've noticed a trend where stunning graphics take center stage, often at the expense of gameplay and story. While visuals are important, they shouldn't overshadow other crucial elements like narrative depth and innovative mechanics. Are we sacrificing creativity and fun for photorealism? Do you think there's too much focus on graphics in modern gaming, or is it a necessary evolution?
Scorpion Posted December 16, 2024 Posted December 16, 2024 Absolutely! Stunning graphics are great, but gameplay and story must remain priorities. Balance is essential for truly memorable gaming experiences.

Don’t get me wrong, visuals have definitely come a long way, but I think some developers focus too much on photorealism rather than crafting unique experiences. Games like Hades or Disco Elysium prove that you don’t need the most advanced graphics to create something memorable. Ultimately, gameplay and narrative should always come first.
