PlayStation has made some bold moves over the years, from game acquisitions to unexpected console decisions. For me, the most shocking has to be when they announced the acquisition of Bungie in 2022. A move that seemed to signal a shift in focus towards live service games, which was a huge departure from PlayStation's traditional single-player focus. What about you? I’d say the shift to cross-platform play support. For so long, PlayStation seemed resistant to the idea, and then suddenly they reversed course. It was shocking but also a huge win for players, especially for games like Fortnite and Rocket League.
