Do you think it’s easier to make friends as an adult or as a child? Why?

I’ve been wondering lately if making friends as an adult is actually harder than when we were kids. As children, it seems like friendships came naturally through school or shared activities, but as adults, it can feel like there's more social baggage or fewer opportunities. Do you think age makes a difference in forming friendships? What’s been your experience with making friends as you’ve gotten older?
