killamch89 Posted November 17, 2024 Posted November 17, 2024 The PS1's multitap was a game-changer for multiplayer gaming back in the day, allowing up to four players on a single console. It was a big deal for games like Twisted Metal 2 and NBA Jam TE, but how well did it actually work? Did it enhance your gaming experience, or did it feel more like a gimmick?
Scorpion Posted January 1, 2025 Posted January 1, 2025 The multitap was fantastic! It truly enhanced multiplayer experiences, making games like Twisted Metal 2 and NBA Jam TE unforgettable.
killamch89 Posted January 2, 2025 Author Posted January 2, 2025 In my opinion, the Multitap had potential, but I felt like it was only worth it for a handful of games. Many PS1 titles were still designed with only two players in mind, so unless you loved games like Twisted Metal or sports titles, it could feel underused. It was cool, but not essential for everyone.
