How do you feel about mobile apps requesting access to your contacts and photos?

I’ve noticed more apps asking for permissions to access my contacts and photos, even when it's not necessary for the app’s core function. Does this bother anyone else? Do you feel comfortable granting these permissions, or do you think apps are getting too invasive? I try to be cautious, but sometimes I wonder if I’m being overly paranoid.

After discovering a 'free' puzzle game had uploaded my entire contact list, I now use a dedicated contacts app with export functionality. When an app requests contacts access, I export only relevant contacts to a separate list that I share instead of granting wholesale access to my complete personal network.
